Blindness in Oedipus is easily seen (haha). Blindness seems to be a recurring factor. We can see that physically Tiresias is blind but mentally his eyes are sharp. While we can see that Oedipus himself is quite the reverse he can see normally quite fine but when it comes to mentally his vision is blurred. He choose to be blind to two major things throughout the play, the prophecies and the people begging him not to go farther.
